Members and former members of local Saffron Walden and village WIs will be joining with women around the globe to simultaneously “Walk the World” in aid of the charity “Associated Women of the World” (ACWW).

The local element will take the form of short self-guided walks around the town using the various trail leaflets produced by the Tourist Information Centre. Start time is ongoing throughout the morning, to suit.

Walkers can then enjoy tea, coffee and cake at Saffron Community Link in Market Street, which has been booked for the purpose.

Noting that not everyone who would like to participate is mobile, Saffron Community Link will also be open to non-walkers as a social space for refreshments and a chat.

The event is open to all and is not exclusive to those with WI connections.

Attendees are invited to make a modest donation to ACWW.
