Shakespeare Sonnet Walk – celebrating Shakespeare’s 460th Birthday!
Explore the gardens and mazes and thoroughfares of Saffron Walden at your leisure, and be entertained by minstrels, actors, poets Shakespeare’s Sonnets along the way. Said Cllr Alex Reeve, “This is a charming way to enjoy Saffron Walden in the Spring – here and there, actors and poets will appear as if by chance to recite a Shakespeare sonnet”.
Please allow a minimum of 1 hour for your walk – tickets can be purchased at a start time between 11am and 2.30pm; everyone is welcome! Under 18’s and students are FREE but must register with the tourist information centre
Said a SWTC spokesperson, “SWTC is delighted to be offering this new cultural event to its calendar of events and is grateful for the continued support of McCarthy Stone – together with their funding, we are pleased to offer tickets at a subsidised price of £10 each, to provide the opportunity to partake to all”.
