Description
This book looks at the southern section of the Harcamlow Way, a 140 mile figure-of-eight walk, devised in the late 1970s by Fred Matthews and Harry Bitten. The whole route, as the name hints, runs from Harlow to Cambridge and back and is marked on Ordnance Survey maps. You need leisure maps 194, 195 and 183.
In one or two places, the author deviates slightly from the original route, mainly to avoid spending too long near main roads.
This 63 mile southern route covers the section between Harlow and Newport.
