Isabel Wiseman lived in Pinkneys Manor in Wimbish in the 1900s. Her nephew, Robert Wiseman, still farms there. The Wiseman family have truly been here “through the centuries” in Wimbish. This book includes the saga of the Wiseman’s of Broadoaks protecting a catholic priest in 1592.
After the war, Isabel returned to Wimbish and researched the history of her village. This book, published in 1954, is still the only account of Wimbish history and has long been out of print. This new edition is exactly as she wrote it, only the cover and a biographical introduction are new.
