Description
A stunning one-off vase by Ian Evans of Saffron Walden’s Rockwell Pottery, established in 2010. The front ‘shield’ features four deep chocolate pargetted Saffron crocuses as a centrepiece setting off wider patterns in natural plaster-like tones. A striking accent piece for any home interior referencing the traditional local architectural craft of pargetting, an incised, often repeat patterns on the exterior of some of Saffron Walden’s most iconic buildings. The vase section on the reverse features another Saffron crocus in strong relief rising out of a striking, hatched background.
