A unique vase by Ian Evans of Saffron Walden’s Rockwell Pottery featuring a modern take on Saffron Walden’s traditional incised plasterwork or ‘pargetting’. This vase reminds us of architectural salvage, a truly beautiful work of art featuring 2 ragged ‘walls’ bearing a strong pargeted section in black fading through chocolate brown to caramel, with the chocolate spilling down to the base. The vase section on the reverse features another Saffron crocus in strong relief rising out of a striking, hatched background.
