Description
This life story has been written to keep alive the memory of Rab Butler, Member of Parliament for Saffron Walden for nearly 36 years from 1929 to 1965. Rab is commemorated today in the parish church where his garter banner hangs at the west end of the church and where he is buried in the churchyard. His name is honoured in the RA Butler Academy for infant and junior schools, as well as in the Lord Butler Fitness and Leisure Centre.
