Saffron Walden is easily reached from London via the M11 (exit junction 8, initially follow the signs for A120 Hertford, then B1383 for Saffron Walden)

Travelling from Cambridge, exit the M11 at junction 10 and follow the signs to Saffron Walden (A505, A1301, B184).

NB. Junction 9 of the M11 is restricted access.

Travelling from Colchester, stay on the A120 beyond the M11 roundabout (signposted Hertford), follow the A120 at the next roundabout, then at the next roundabout, take the B1383 signposted Saffron Walden.
