Saffron Walden Town Council is excited to announce upcoming FREE Family activities, taking place on Friday 9th August between 10am and 2pm in the Market Square.
SWTC is working alongside Saffron Hall’s cast of Treasure Island, hosting 30-minute treasure hunts at 10.30am and 11.30am. Families can also expect face painting, storytelling, visits from the Buffy Bus and Essex Mobile Library bus and more!
More FREE activities will take place Friday 30 August, the emergency services will be in attendance alongside dressing up, colouring and more.
For these events, the Market Square will be closed to vehicles on Friday 09 and 30 August.
This is to provide FREE family activities and café style seating, allowing for a relaxed continental feel to this beautiful space. This use of the Market Square is favoured by residents, as evidenced in the 2022 consultation.
Please note that the Market Square and adjoining roads (Market Place, Market Hill, Market Street, Butchers Row and King Street) will be closed for events on Friday 09 August and Friday 30 August from 7am until 4pm.
