The Market Square will be closed to vehicles each Friday (28th July, 04, 11, 18, 25 August and 01 September).  This is to provide café style seating, allowing for a relaxed continental feel to this beautiful space – with music performances between 12 noon and 2pm; providing the opportunity to enjoy a coffee, take a break, eat lunch, and generally relax and socialise. This use of the Market Square is favoured by residents, as evidenced in the 2022 consultation.

• Please note that the Market Square and adjoining roads (Market Place, Market Hill, Market Street, Butchers Row and King Street) will be closed for events on these dates from 7am until 4pm.
