
The Fry Art Gallery is home to a nationally important collection of the work of artists who have lived and worked in north-west Essex, and in particular in and around the village of Great Bardfield, close to Thaxted.
The collection includes works by Eric Ravilious, Edward Bawden, John Aldridge and many other artists, from the 1930s onwards.
