Bandstand Season 2024: Escaping Today

August 17 @ 12:00 - 14:00

Saffron Walden Bandstand Season:

Every SATURDAY from 06 July – 21 September 2024: Starting on 06 July, it will run weekly on Saturdays, until 21 September, between 12 noon and 2pm from the bandstand in Jubilee Garden, CB10 1EH.

A selection of music genres will entertain over the season; from pop to rock, and folk to contemporary choirs, the bandstand will be alive for 12 consecutive Saturdays. It is FREE to attend – just drop in, sit back and enjoy the music.

The first ever national Brass Band Week will take place 06 – 14 July 2024 coincidentally; a new annual event launched by Brass Bands England to raise awareness of our nation’s brass bands and everything they have to offer.  Saffron Walden Bandstand Season will feature two local brass bands within the week; first up on the bandstand on 06 July is CSD (Cambridge and Surrounding Districts) Brass, followed by Hadstock Silver Band on 13 July.

Saffron Walden Town Council is pleased to be supporting Brass Band Week within its bandstand season and thrilled that Arkwright & Co are backing the Bandstand Season for its second year.

  • Thinking of making a day of it! Why not visit the award-winning market, Market Place CB10 1HR and pop in to Tourist Information Centre, 1 Market Place, for ideas on how to spend your time in the delightful medieval market town of Saffron Walden
