We are very pleased to say that Saffron Walden based Rockwell Pottery now has a page of fabulous pargetting-patterned ceramics by Ian Evans for sale via our e-shop.
The larger items, i.e. vases, are for sale by (free) click and collect only, but the brooches can be posted out (p & p charge applies).
The range is currently on display during Lockdown 3 in the window of the Tourist Information Centre, so if you are local, do take a look whilst out on daily exercise.
Pargetting is a decorative plastering applied to building walls. The term, if not the practice, is particularly associated with the English counties of Suffolk and Essex. Pargetting can be seen throughout the town of Saffron Walden, with some particularly fine examples in Church Street, Castle Street and Gold Street.
