The Crown House had been a coaching Inn for hundreds of years, as such, we have  a colourful and interesting history.

There are two buildings, one is a modernised stable block and the main building is a historical grade 2 listed building with priest holes, secret tunnels to the church and a spider window.

Great Chesterford was a significant Roman settlement, the Roman wall went through what is now the dining room.

The Crown House prides itself on customer service, you are more than just a guest to us. We consistantly score very highly on customer service reviews on booking sites.

All rooms, individually designed, have en suite bathrooms, some bath, some shower some both.

We do not have any lifts, so please let us know if you require downstairs rooms or have any mobility issues.

Flat screen TV, tea, coffee and biscuits are in every room. Ironing board and iron available.

We offer a Full English breakfast, cooked to order, unless we are very busy, when we offer a buffet breakfast. We also have a wide range of cereals, Tea, Ground Coffee, toast and spreads. Fruit juice, Yoghurts and Fruit. Again, our generous breakfast scores highly on review sites.

We have beautiful restful gardens with patio areas and a gazebo or tables to sit outside and enjoy the surroundings.  and a large free car park for our guests.

We hold wakes for up to 100 people

We have a Large beautiful conservatory which can be used for parties, baby showers, afternoon tea parties with friends.
