Fairycroft House Community Interest Company (CIC) is a self-sustaining local organisation that has a focus on the arts and media, with a specialism in music.
Operating from Fairycroft House with state-of-the-art facilities available to the members of the community, whether an individual guitarist or a burgeoning business, we provide support, enhance well-being and promote development for all age groups through focused programmes and activities in Uttlesford.
Fairycroft House has been the launching pad for many successful careers in the music industry and we want to continue this proud tradition by supporting and inspiring the creative community through our vision for this wonderful building.
Since 2014, Fairycroft House CIC has developed new and innovative ways of working with young people. Of equal importance is the building and the available facilities that are being improved to meet the needs of adults of all ages. Fairycroft House is available to the whole community with facilities including a coffee bar, music academy, education areas, video editing suite, music & drama spaces, recording, rehearsal and of course, performance areas. Plus a range of multi-use, specialist areas available for hire to community groups, commercial hirers and for both private and family events.
Our alcohol licence has enabled us to host lots of exciting new events including the very successful musical jam nights and working with local celeb, Joanna Eden to provide a regular Jazz club.
We worked very closely with one of our resident companies, Creative Walden to produce a movie called Zombie Occupation which featured over 100 young people in various capacities. The movie received a premiere at Saffron Screen in front of a sell-out audience.
Things are moving fast for Fairycroft House – If you’re in the area, get on board!
