Saffron Hall is an award-winning, 740 seat performance space within the grounds of Saffron Walden County High School. Saffron Hall hosts an annual season of concerts and events featuring local, national and international artists.
During the 2016-17 season, Saffron Hall welcomes artists including the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Nicola Benedetti, Britten Sinfonia, English Touring Opera, Madeleine Peyroux, Sir Antonio Pappano, St Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra, Sir Willard White, National Youth Jazz Orchestra, plus school events and performances by local groups.
Opened in November 2013, the £10 million Hall has a much-praised flexible acoustic and state-of-the-art facilities that surpass those of more established venues. Saffron hall has ample free parking on site.

Saffron Hall is minutes from the centre of Saffron Walden and close to the M11.
If travelling northbound along the M11, exit at junction 8 and follow the signs to Hertford (A120) and then Saffron Walden (B1383). Soon after the turning to Audley End station on the left, turn right along Walden road/Wenden road. Once you reach the top of the hill, turn right at the t-junction and Saffron Hall is almost immediately on your right, on the site of Saffron Walden County High School.
If travelling southbound along the M11, exit at junction 10 and follow the signs to Saffron Walden via the A505, A1301, then B1383. Once you have driven past Audley end house and the Audley End estate turn left along Walden road/Wenden road. Once you reach the top of the hill turn right at the t-junction and Saffron Hall is almost immediately on your right, on the site of Saffron Walden County High School. Note that junction 9 of the M11 has restricted access.
Saffron Hall has ample free on-site parking, including parking for blue badge holders.
