Little Henham is a small hamlet in a truly rural setting yet conveniently placed for the enjoyment of many local attractions. Also a good location from which to visit London and Cambridge using public transport; a speedy rail service operates from Elsenham (2 miles distant). The Cock public house at Henham and the Fleur-de-Lys at Widdington are within pleasant walking distance.

The site is conveniently situated for the motorway network – M11 Junctions 8 and 10.

From M11 Junction 8 either

Preferred route: Take the B1256 from J8 east to Takeley. At second set of traffic lights, turn left by The Four Ashes public house to Elsenham. At The Crown public house, turn left, then at the mini roundabouts turn right into Station Road. Turn right over the railway crossing at Elsenham station. Continue passing the sign to Henham. Almost immediately at the T junction, turn right to Little Henham and proceed to the top of the hill.

From the A120 (Bishop’s Stortford North), take the B1383 through Stansted Mountfitchet and Ugley. Turn right at the Chequers public house, proceeding under the motorway bridge, turn right and through the “Tooting Bridge” and within 200 yards turn left, signposted to Little Henham. The farm is situated at the top of the hill.

From M11 Junction 10

Take the route signposted to Saffron Walden. Join the B1383 at Chesterford to Audley End and Newport. Two miles south of Newport, turn sharp left signposted to Elsenham and Henham. Pass the first signpost to Little Henham (very narrow lane), drive through the “Tooting Bridge” and within 200 yards turn left, signposted to Little Henham. Proceed to the top of the hill.
